Fairfield Inn & Suites Vernon

The hotel is clean and very comfortable. Sure I will come back if I visit Vernon next time.

When we first checked in the front staff did not communicate the proper authorization procedures on my credit card. They told me it would be a $200 pre-authorization for any damages and I was charged $1340 which was $300 over what our total price pay was. Then when we checked into our room, we were hit with a horrible smell from previous guests left over dirty laundry. Then when they finally changed to another room, we had no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash. The shower handle fell off when we tried to use it the first time. Our fridge in the room was broken and was told that maintenance would be up the next day to fix it….. four days later still no maintenance guy. All our food spoiled that we brought. When we asked the cleaning lady if she could empty just our garbage, she asked if we really needed it as she was very busy. We stayed for four days and didn’t ask for the room to be cleaned but just to have our garbage changed and this is what we were met with. The all over cleanliness of the room was terrible. The second day we stayed I asked to speak with the general manager, Ashley. They passed on my number to her and she never contacted me to this day. I have sent her multiple emails, with no return email.. You would think being the general manager of a hotel you would want your customers to be satisfied….. apparently not Ashley. Two days later, I received double charges on my credit card for this horrible stay, and I am still waiting for recuperation. I have filed a complaint with Marriott head office, hopefully I will get some resolution and compensation, but I will not keep my hopes up. I will never ever stay or recommend anyone stay at this hotel. I have stayed in many hotels and this is the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. On a positive note, Debbie the front desk manager tried to help me as much as could with her limited capabilities.
